Fat Jesus' WWE Extreme Rules 2012 Predictions

Like Backlash of old, WWE has turned Extreme Rules into the Wrestlemania rematch PPV. 'Cept it's more gimmicky. 4 of these matches are rematches from WM and three of them are again title bouts.

Nikki Bella (WWE Divas Champion) vs Beth Phoenix in a single match for the WWE Divas Championship
Bella are awful wrestlers and Beth Phoenix not only knows what she's doing BUT is good at what she does. Pretty sure they're going to continues with the ankle injury thing though. Shame. Beth is easily the best diva on the roster.
Winner (And Still Divas Champion): Nikki Bella

Randy Orton vs Kane in a Fall Count Anywhere Match
This is another feud I can't quite understand. The build has been them trying to get into each others head to no avail. Still don't know why they started feuding, but they've given us a couple solid matches. Doesn't make me care at all about this though.
Winner: Randy Orton

Santino (WWE United States Champion) vs The Miz in a singles match for the WWE United States Champion
Really no reason for this match. Really no reason for Santino to have the title tbh. But WWE logic makes no sense. Santino retains.
Winner (And Still United States Champion): Santino

The Big Show (WWE Intercontinental Champion) vs Cody Rhodes in a tables match for the Intercontinental Championship
I don't mind a win by either here. Let Cody have a long run by winning it back. Or let Big Show keep it and have a long reign while Cody moves up to the  main event area.
Winner (And Still Intercontinental Champion): The Big Show

CM Punk (WWE Champion) vs Chris Jericho in a Chicago Street Fight for the WWE Championship
Don't like gimmicky matches like this or street fights for that matter. But I think these two can make it work. Both will work hard and I love both in the ring and on the mic. The build up was nice as well.
Winner (And Still WWE Champion): CM Punk

Sheamus (World Heavyweight Champion) vs Daniel Bryan in a 2-Out-Of-3 Falls match for the World Heavyweight Champion
Give this 30 minutes and it will be match of the night. Both are hard workers and always put on GREAT matches when given the time. YES YES YES YES!
Winner (And Still World Heavyweight Champion): Sheamus

Brock Lesnar vs John Cena in an Extreme Rules match
I don't think John Cena, the poster boy, is going to lose two PPVs in a row. I'm more looking and how well Brock will be able to keep up in his first match (and this could be a grueling one) back with the company.
Winner: Brock Leasnar

Winners
Nikki Bella
Randy Orton
Santino*
The Big Show
CM Punk
Sheamus
Brock Lesnar

21 Jump Street [A Fat Jesus Movie Review]

I know a lot of people who said that this was gonna bomb. How making one movie based off of a TV series wouldn't work. Saw some of Ice Cube's clips and Jonah Hill is always pretty damn funny, so I wanted to see this. 21 Jump Street follows the story of two police officers, Schmidt and Jenko (Hill and Tatum) who in high school didn't go to Senior prom. Schmidt because he was a "nerd" and couldn't get a date and Jenko cause he was a bully jock and failed his classes. After graduation in the police academy they meet up. Instead of being enemies, they worked together. Schmidt helping Jenko with the studying aspect and Jenko helping Schmidt with the physical part of it. They graduate together and become partners...on park patrol. One day they catch a break but are transferred to an undercover project cause they didn't mirandize the suspect. Now the two unlikely cops must bunker down and stop a drug ring from breaking out of a high school and turning into a city-wide problem.

This is quite the nice example of an action-comedy. The scenes involving any combination of Tatum, Hill, Ice Cube, and Riggle can be side splitting. The action scenes are solid to boot, there's even two long car chases and gun fights. I've seen Channing Tatum in roles before, and I'll admit that he sucked, but in this he won me over. He can be hilarious with the right counterpart. Jonah Hill does what he does best, is a comedic actor, no complaints there. Ice Cube plays a stereo-typical angry black man (he even admits this in character), and it is hilarious. Dave Franco plays a good role as well as the  supplier to the school. While Brie Larson is just lovely. Also cameos by Johnny Depp, Nick Offerman and Jake Johnson make a very nice comedic presence throughout the movie. All in all this is WELL worth the watch. It's got the action a junkie would want sprinkled throughout a raunchy R-Rated comedy that is cleverly written. It's not based off of the original series, it takes the outline, funnies it up and reinvents it.

Song of the Day #106

I like this song WAY more than I should. This has been my song of the day numerous times for whatever (no pun intended) reason. Whenever it pops on the radio when I happen to be driving and don't have a CD in, not only do I listen to it, BUT I enjoy it.

Hot Chelle Rae- "Tonight Tonight" from Whatever

Song of the Day #105

This song is my life now-a-days. Perfect. Awesome bass-line, great lyrics, amazing song.

Green Day- "Longview" from Dookie

Song of the Day #104

I'm in love with this beat, whenever I pop it on I have to listen to the whole thing. Also this video is loaded with women's asses. Just saying.

Top 5 TV Comedies of The '11-'12 Season

Now I love my TV dramas such as Mad Men, House, True Blood, Burn Notice, etc. But when I watch TV, it's for comedies. Make me laugh heartily and I'll be a fan of your show. This year has actually been a great year for comedy on both network and cable channels. Now while I still adore and watch my self proclaimed "Best comedies on TV" in Curb Your Enthusiasm, Family Guy, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, The Office, The Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, etc. It's the new comedies of only 1-4 seasons that have really shined this year for me.

On-Air Classics
The Big Bang Theory, Season 5, CBS
Community, Season 3, NBC**
Curb Your Enthusiasm, Season 8, HBO
Family Guy, Season 10, FOX
How I Met Your Mother, Season 7, CBS
It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Season 7, FX
Modern Family, Season 3, ABC*
The Office, Season 8, NBC

*= For me personally this show is already a classic
**= Only show to make my classic AND top 5 list (Modern Family hit #6)

Honorable Mentions
2 Broke Girls, Season 1, CBS
Archer, Season 3, FX
Louie, Season 2, FX
Up All Night, Season 1, NBC

5. The League, Season 3, FX
Stars: Mark Duplass, Stephen Rannazzisi, Nick Kroll, Paul Scheer, Jon Lajoie, Katie Aselton
I love this show. It's raunchy filth on my TV, WHILE incorporating fantasy football into the mix. The opinions of the characters, situations, and the hilarious phrases and nuances that this show conveys make it a pleasure to watch. My only gripe is that it only gets 13 episodes a season. This is a cruel injustice to the world.

4. Parks and Recreation, Season 4, NBC
Stars: Amy Poehler, Rashida Jones, AzizAnsari, Nick Offerman, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Pratt, Rob Lowe, Adam Scott, Jim O'Heir, Retta
P&R is the most veteran show to make my top 5. After fours years of watching this show, I can honestly say it's spurred me on to stand-up, more SNL, and more movies with these character's actors involved. The humor is quick witted and the almost "The Office-like" situations appeal to me highly. Plus, Ron Swanson. Enough said.

3. New Girl, Season 1, FOX
Stars: Zooey Deschanel, Jake Johnson, Max Greenfield, Lamorne Morris, Hannah Simone
I LOVE Zooey Deschanel. Shes super cute, quirky, and funny. I thought that well before this show. I'm not a huge fan of Fox comedies, but this one more than works. They've gotten some nice guests for season 1 (Justin Long and Lizzy Caplain) that really appealed to me as well. The jokes are clever, the roommate chemistry and situations are funny, and did I mention Zooey is adorable?

2. Happy Endings, Season 2, ABC
Stars: Eliza Coupe, Elisha Cuthbert, Zachary Knighton, Adam Pally, Damon Waynes Jr., Casey Wilson
I don't know what spurred me to watch this after Modern Family one night, but I really remember Tweeting out, "I'm going to give #HappyEndings a chance." Boy am I glad I did. This show is phenomenal. Pop culture jokes and references, situations and dialogue that can leave you on the floor laughing, and a solid cast of mostly unknown actors. Also Elisha Cuthbert is smokin'. Side note, I haven't even seen any season 1 episodes.

1. Community, Season 3, NBC
Stars: Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Yvette Nicole Brown, Alison Brie, Donald Glover, Ken Jeong, Chevy Chase, Jim Rash
I've said this before and I'll say it again here. This is the best network comedy on TV currently. That NBC put it on mid-season hiatus and may consider canceling it is beyond me. Every theme or parody episode is fantastic. Beyond that the story, characters, dialogue, and bits and perfect. I've never seen a bad episode of this show and I've never not laughed during and episode. #TroyAndAbedHandshake #SixSeasonsAndAMovie

Song of the Day #103

Another Fun. song. Ha. Really been listening to Some Nights a lot lately. A song I wish I could believe the lyrics to.

Fun.- "It Gets Better" from Some Nights

"What have we done, oh my god
What have we done, oh my god

This is really happening
You never looked so bored
Can you feel my fingernails?
They've never been so short

It's hard to lay a golden egg with everyone around
It's hard to stay inside my head when words keep pouring out

Like starlight crashing through the room, we'll lose our feathers
Yes, I know it hurts at first but it gets better

It gets better, it gets better
It gets better, we'll get better

It gets better, it gets better
It gets better, we'll get better

I can taste your summer sweat
It's never been so warm
So can we kick the covers off?
They're always on
It's never been so warm

It's hard to keep a straight face when I just want to smile
If you could see the look that's in your eyes

Like starlight crashing through the room, we'll lose our feathers
Yes, I know it hurts at first but it gets better

It gets better, it gets better
It gets better, we'll get better

It gets better, it gets better
It gets better, we'll get better

There's a fire in sky
Some snow on the ground
Not quite enough cigarettes
To calm me down

What have we done, oh my god
What have we done, oh my god

It gets better, it gets better
It gets better, we'll get better

It gets better, it gets better
It gets better, we'll get better

(This is really happening)
It gets better, it gets better
It gets better, we'll get better

(This is really happening)
It gets better, it gets better
It gets better, we'll get better"

I Guess Its All Alright

It's all about me. Haha, dat ego. But I mean it as in this blog post is all about me. The past couple of weeks streaming NBA 2K12, Uncharted, Luigi's Mansion, BioShock, etc, have been fantastic. Helping out LookAtMyChicken by hosting a Skype call during his 2 million view marathon. Awesome. Couple that with being able to watch Wrestlemania and a spectacular Monday Night Raw with my two best friends. Just amazing. But my own screwed up mind always keeps the bad in the back of my mind. The fact that while I'm having fun, or what I've deluded myself to think is fun, that I'm not happy. I'm still the giant asshole I've always been. I may sound excited, happy, joyus, etc. But in reality it's not true. Sure there are fleeting moments of genuine happiness, and I wanna thank ALL of you, reading this and not, for helping me have them. So in closing of this paragraph, vent, blog thingy, thanks for be there though the good, the bad, and the fake happiness. It really means a lot that people take the time to watch me stream or reading these emo blog posts of mine. I got nothing left inside of my chest, but it's all alright...

Fun.- "All Alright" from Some Nights

"...I've given everyone I know
a good reason to go.
I was surprised you stuck around
long enough to figure out...

...I've given everyone I know
a good reason to go.
But I came back with the belief
that everyone I love is gonna leave me...

And it's all alright.
I guess it's all alright.
I got nothing left inside of my chest,
but it's all alright.
Yeah, it's all alright.
I guess it's all alright.
I got nothing left inside of my chest,
but it's all alright."

Song of the Day #102

Fun.- "Carry On" from Some Nights

"Well I woke up to the sound of silence
the cars were cutting like knives in a fist fight
and I found you with a bottle of wine
your head in the curtains
and heart like the Fourth of July

You swore and said
"We are not
We are not shining stars"
This I know
I never said we are

Though I've never been through hell like that
I've closed enough windows
to know you can never look back

If you're lost and alone
Or you're sinking like a stone
Carry on
May your past be the sound
Of your feet upon the ground
Carry on

Carry on, carry on

So I met up with some friends
at the edge of the night
At a bar off 75
And we talked and talked
about how our parents will die
All our neighbours and wives

But I like to think
I can cheat it all
To make up for the times I've been cheated on
And it's nice to know
When I was left for dead
I was found and now I don't roam these streets
I am not the ghost you want of me

If you're lost and alone
Or you're sinking like a stone
Carry on
May your past be the sound
Of your feet upon the ground
Carry on

Whoa
My head is on fire
But my legs are fine
After all they are mine
Lay your clothes down on the floor
Close the door
Hold the phone
Show me how
No one’s ever gonna stop us now

Cause we are
We are shining stars
We are invincible
We are who we are
On our darkest day
When we’re miles away
Sun will come
We will find our way home

If you're lost and alone
Or you're sinking like a stone
Carry on
May your past be the sound
Of your feet upon the ground
Carry on

Carry on, carry on"

Top 10 Guilty Pleasure Songs

Now there are songs out there that could be the greatest or worst songs in the world. But these may or may not be. These are songs that I can pop on whenever, for whatever reason, enjoy. Some are critically just awful, while some are actually really good tracks. Well enough of me droning on and on here's the songs.

10. Hollywood Undead- "Everywhere I Go" from Swan Songs

"And I like their big thick titties
D-Cups with extra filling
Take it out let me lick it quickly
Calm down it's just a hickie
I'll blame it on this whiskey, sipping, gets me tipsy"

"So I'll beat my meat like I'm a fuckin' butcher
And I'll punk the pussy like I'm Ashton Kutcher!"

"Everywhere I Go, Bitches always know
That Charlie Scene has got a weenie that he loves to show (bitch)
Everywhere I Go, Bitches always know
That Charlie Scene has got a weenie that he loves to show"

9. Green Day- "Longview" from Dookie

"Sit around and watch the tube, but nothing's on
I change the channels for an hour or two
Twiddle my thumbs just for a bit
I'm sick of all the same old shit
In a house with unlocked doors
And I'm fucking lazy"

"Bite my lip and close my eyes
Take me away to paradise
I'm so damn bored I'm going blind
And I smell like shit"

"Peel me off this Velcro seat and get me moving
I sure as hell can't do it by myself
I'm feeling like a dog in heat
Barred indoors from the summer street
I locked the door to my own cell
And I lost the key"

"Sit around and watch the phone, but no one's calling
Call me pathetic, call me what you will
My mother says to get a job
But she don't like the one she's got
When masturbation's lost its fun
You're fucking lonely"

"Bite my lip and close my eyes
Take me away to paradise
I'm so damn bored
I'm going blind
And loneliness has to suffice
Bite my lip and close my eyes
I was slipping away to paradise
Some say, "Quit or I'll go blind."
But it's just a myth"

8. Afroman- "Because I Got High" from The Good Times

"I was gonna clean my room until I got high
I was gonna get up and find the broom but then I got high
my room is still messed up and I know why (why man?) yea heyy,
- cause I got high [repeat 3X]

(La da da da da da da da da)

I was gonna go to class before I got high
I coulda cheated and I coulda passed but I got high
(La da da da da da da da da)
I am taking it next semester and I know why, (why man?) yea heyy,
- cause I got high [repeat 3X]

(La da da da da da da da da)

I was gonna go to work but then I got high
I just got a new promotion but I got high
now I'm selling dope and I know why (why man?) yea heayy,
- cause I got high [repeat 3X]"

7. Eminem- "3 AM" from Relapse

"Sitting nude in my living room, it's almost noon
I wonder what's on the tube, maybe they'll show some boobs
Surfin' every channel until I find Hannah Montana
Then I reach for the Aloe and lanolin
Bust all over the wall panel and dismantlin' every candle
On top of the fireplace mantle and
Grab my flannel and my bandana then
Kiss the naked mannequin man again
You can see him standin' in my front window if you look in
I'm just a hooligan who's used to usin' hallucinogens
Causin' illusions again
Brain contusions again
Cutting and bruisin' the skin
Razors, scissors and pins
Jesus, when does it end?
Phases, that I go through
Dazed, and I'm so confused
Cheesed, that I don't know who
Gave, these molecules to
me, what am I gon' do?
Heed, the prodigal son
The diabolical one
Very methodical when I slaughter them"

"It's 3 A.M. in the mornin'
Put my key in the door and
Bodies layin' all over the floor and
I dont remember how they got there
but I guess I musta killed em (killed em)
I said...
It's 3 A.M. in the mornin'
Put my key in the door and
Bodies layin' all over the floor and
I dont remember how they got there
but I guess I musta killed em (killed em)"

"She puts the lotion in the bucket, it puts the lotion on the skin, or else it gets the hose again
She puts the lotion in the bucket, it puts the lotion on the skin, or else it gets the hose again"

6. Justin Timberlake feat. Timblaland- SexyBack from FuterSex/LoveSounds

"YEAH"

"Take 'em to the bridge"

"Dirty babe
You see these shackles
Baby I’m your slave
I’ll let you whip me if I misbehave
It’s just that no one makes me feel this way"

"Take 'em to the chorus"

"Come here girl
Go ahead, be gone with it
Come to the back
Go ahead, be gone with it
VIP
Go ahead, be gone with it
Drinks on me
Go ahead, be gone with it
Let me see what you’re torquing with
Go ahead, be gone with it
Look at those hips
Go ahead, be gone with it
You make me smile
Go ahead, be gone with it
Go ahead child
Go ahead, be gone with it
And get your sexy on
Go ahead, be gone with it"

"Get your sexy on
Go ahead, be gone with it"

"Get your sexy on"

5. Hot Chelle Rae- "Tonight Tonight" from Whatever

"I woke up with a strange tattoo
Not sure how I got it, not a dollar in my pocket
And it kinda looks just like you
Mixed with Zach Galifianakis"

"La la la, whatever, la la la, it doesn't matter, la la la, oh well, la la"

"We're going at it tonight tonight
There's a party on the rooftop top of the world
Tonight tonight and we're dancing on the edge of the Hollywood sign
I don't know if I'll make it but watch how good I'll fake it
It's all right, all right, tonight, tonight"

"You got me singing like
Woah, come on, ohh, it doesn't matter, woah, everybody now, ohh"

"Just don't stop let's keep the beat pumpin'
Keep the beat up, let's drop the beat down
It's my party dance if I want to
We can get crazy let it all out"

"Just don't stop let's keep the beat pumpin'
Keep the beat up, let's drop the beat down
It's my party dance if I want to
We can get crazy let it all out"

"Just singing like
Woah, come on, ohh, all you party people
Woah, all you singletons, ohh (even the white kids)"

4. Katy Perry- "Firework" from Teenage Dream

"Do you ever feel like a plastic bag,
Drifting through the wind
Wanting to start again?
Do you ever feel, feel so paper thin
Like a house of cards,
One blow from caving in?"

"Do you ever feel already buried deep?
6 feet under screams but no one seems to hear a thing
Do you know that there's still a chance for you
'Cause there's a spark in you"

"You just gotta ignite the light, and let it shine
Just own the night like the 4th of July"

"'Cause baby you're a firework
Come on, show 'em what you're worth
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh"
As you shoot across the sky-y-y"

"Baby, you're a firework
Come on, let your colours burst
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh"
You're gonna leave 'em all in "awe, awe, awe""

"You don't have to feel like a wasted space
You're original, cannot be replaced
If you only knew what the future holds
After a hurricane comes a rainbow"

"Maybe your reason why all the doors are closed
So you could open one that leads you to the perfect road
Like a lightning bolt, your heart will glow
And when it's time, you'll know"

3. Kreayshawn- "Gucci Gucci" from Somethin' About Kreay

"(One big room full of bad bitches)
And we stunting like
Gucci Gucci, Louis Louis, Fendi Fendi, Prada
Basic bitches wear that shit so I don't even bother"

"Bitch you ain't no Barbie I see you work at Arby's
Number 2, super-sized Hurry up I'm starving"

"Now Google that groupies follow me like Twitter
I'm rolling up my catnip and shitting in your litter"

"Which means nobody getting over me
I got the swag and it's pumping out my ovaries"

2. Cascada- "Everytime We Touch" from Everytime We Touch

"I still hear your voice, when you sleep next to me.
I still feel your touch in my dreams.
Forgive me my weakness, but I don't know why
Without you it's hard to survive."

SICK CLUB BEAT

"'Cause everytime we touch, I get this feeling.
And everytime we kiss I swear I could fly.
Can't you feel my heart beat fast, I want this to last.
Need you by my side.
'Cause everytime we touch, I feel the static.
And everytime we kiss, I reach for the sky.
Can't you hear my heart beat so...
I can't let you go.
Want you in my life."

"Your arms are my castle, your heart is my sky.
They wipe away tears that I cry.
The good and the bad times, we've been through them all.
You make me rise when I fall."

SICK CLUB BEAT AGAIN

"'Cause everytime we touch, I get this feeling.
And everytime we kiss I swear I could fly.
Can't you feel my heart beat fast, I want this to last.
Need you by my side.
'Cause everytime we touch, I feel the static.
And everytime we kiss, I reach for the sky.
Can't you hear my heart beat so...
I can't let you go.
Want you in my life."

1. The Lovin' Spoonful- "Do You Believe In Magic" from Do You Believe In Magic

"Do you believe in magic?
In a young girls heart
How the music can free her
whenever it starts"

"And it's magic
if the music is groovy
It makes you feel happy like an old time movie"

"I'll tell ya about the magic
It'll free your soul
but it's like trying to tell a stranger 'bout rock n roll"

"If you believe in magic, don't bother to choose
If it's jug band music or rhythm and blues
Just go and listen
It'll start with a smile
It won't wipe off your face no matter how hard you try
Your feet start tapping
And you can't seem to find
How you got there
So just blow your mind"

"If you believe in magic
Come along with me
We'll dance until morning, just you and me
and maybe, if the music is right
I'll meet ya tomorrow
so late at night"

"We'll go a dancin' baby then you'll see
all the magic's in the music and the music's in me, yeah"

"Do you belive in magic? Yeah.
Believe in the magic in a young girl's soul
believe in the magic of rock n roll
Believe in the magic that can set you free
Ohhhh, talkin' bout magic"

Do you believe like I believe?
Do you believe in magic?
Do you believe like I believe?
Do you believe in magic?"

Nicki Minaj- Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded [A Fat Jesus Album Review]

It's no big secret that I like Nicki Minaj (DAT ASS haha). But there was a time (before Pink Friday) when I couldn't stand or get into her or any Young Money artists at all (including Drizzy Dripping Damp Drake). She can sing, for the most part her beats are good, and when she so chooses her  flow becomes ridiculously erratic (in a good way). I feel like I'm using too many parentheses in this already. Pink Friday may be one of the best pop-rap albums in recent memory. Alongside Kanye West's Graduation the more recent release of Eminem's Relapse. But this is about part deux so to speak. Roman Reloaded, I was expecting at least, to be a remix-mixtape at best, not her actual second full fledged album.

Starts out fine with me, with the title track she "premiered" in that bizarre performance at The Grammy's. I have no idea why, but "Roman's Revenge" is so strange and out there it somehow clicks with me. I guess in a theatrical sort-of way. Now mind you, I'm not going to go into diatribes about every track. Cause quite frankly I only liked a handful of songs off of this album. Moving along in this first part of the album which keeps some semblance of pop-rap, we hit "I Am Your Leader." Nicki is solid, not a huge fan of Cam'ron though (never have been), but Rick Ross has a nice little guest verse on here that had me nodding my head. To be frank, "Beez in the Trap" isn't the greatest of Nicki verses (she just sounded more lazy than the desired seductive), at least to me. But this kid, 2 Chainz, has a good verse and I swear to God, I love the beat to this song. Like I said you can have the best beat in the world, but if I don't like the verses then then song will tank. That didn't happen with this song. "Champion" is the best rap/hip-hop song on this album. All the verses (by Nicki, Drake, Jeezy and Nas) are on point lyrically and with their flow. The beat is also very nice and Nas delivers the best verse on this whole album (in my opinion).

This is where the album takes a rocky turn and goes to the all pop, all club, no hip-hop/rap venue until the last track that seemed tacked on in "Stupid Hoe." More on that later. BUT this is where Nicki starts to show off her voice more. And that another reason why I like her. Sure she has the crazy flow, but she can belt out a verse as good as anyone. Luckily for you readers this part of the album soured me. So there won't be too much of my horribad writing here. Three songs did stand out to me though, starting with the second single off of the album, "Starships." Like I Twatted out as I was listening to this album for the first time, this song is complete pop. It's got the club banger, Top 40 pop station, feel good summer sound that I ate up hook line and sinker. The beat is great, the chorus is catchy and the lyrics are fun. Nothing more you could want in a pop song. BUT THEN as soon as it ended "Pound the Alarm" comes on and seemingly continues the song. Same popness, all the same enjoyment out of me.

I was digging the album, when a huge slump of degrading pop/club songs hit me like a wave hitting a little fat kid on the beach and I got sad. Among all the bad though, there was one song that stood out to me, "Marilyn Monroe." The ballad song of this "all over the place musical stylings" of an album. Nothing spectacular about the verses or chorus themselves, but Nicki delvers a great singing performance. She shows that she's not that one trick rapping pony, that she can sing pretty damn good. To round out this album though, "Stupid Hoe" comes on. Yes. At least at the end of this a song from what brought her to the game. The chorus and beat quite frankly...suck. But Nicki's rapping in this is to me, a Goddamn hot mess of awesome. On the flip side of what I mentioned earlier. I can forgive a bad beat and chorus when there's flow like hers. #EndofTheAlbum

To sum up though I'll say this. First part of the album, hip-hop/rap. Second part of the album, pop/club. Nicki Minaj has styles for everyone in this. Slow beats, fast beats, synthesizers, rap songs, club songs, pop songs, ballads, etc. But I think that ideal in wanting to please everyone hurts more than it helps. When she focuses on rap then good songs like "Champion" happen. When she focuses of pop then good songs like "Starships" happen. When she focuses on singing then good songs like "Marilyn Monroe" happen. BUT she needs to stick with what got her here and got me listening to her. Rap and hip-hop. Sure incorporate other styles into it, but keep true to your roots. Release EPs or mixtapes if you want to experiment, don't make me buy your album then hate the majority of it cause it's not your style (or a style I wanna hear you do). Good effort overall, some solid songs came out of this, but for me a disappointing follow up to Pink Friday.
