Halloween Movie Month [Friday the 13th]

Friday the 13th, when it hits the calendar now it rings even more of a evil unsettling tone. Not just cause if the usual unluckiness of the day, but also because of this very series. The story goes that two camp counselors at Camp Crystal Lake are murdered. Jumping to present day, Camp Crystal Lake is reopening and the new cook, traveling out there is warned that bad things are going to happen. Now with the new counselors getting the camp ready for opening, this Friday, may not be going as planned. I liked this movie. The music was nice throughout the entire movie, and in the killing scenes especially. Speaking of the killing scenes  they were great. Blood is there, gushing, gruesomeness, and the weapons still sticking out of the corpses look brutal. The acting is a bunch of teenagers at camp, but once Mrs. Voorhees comes in, that's when I really got into it.  Again though, this is a very slow paced movie, and I more fancy fast paced stuff. BUT the movie is good, the story is, again like Halloween, pretty iconic. So yeah, these first films that started a horror trend in the 80s are great so far.
