Halloween Movie Month [Shaun of the Dead]

Now I love Zombieland, but this is the original zombie comedy (for me) and I love it. British humor and all, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are hilarious. As in every other zombie flick, the plague hits the earth. But this time the two most unlikely people, Shaun and Ed, have to survive with one of their exes, parents, and their other two friends. Can they make it to the one safe haven in England alive, or will the hordes get them on the way to..the pub. The kills a comical yet gruesome. There is a ton of red tones to complement all the blood as well. The humor is amazing. The acting by the crew is fantastic. From action shots of starting cars and flushing the toilet, to pleading with zombies, to grabbing their record collection and deciding which ones to throw at the zombies, to that damn Queen song playing on the jukebox in the pub. It is a laugh riot that gets you invested in the characters and story, and has heart. Comedy-horror. This is how it's done. "He's not my Dad, he's my stepdad!"
